The Holidays are Upon Us and if you are like most of  www.TreasuredMomentsStationery.comus, you are currently preparing for your fabulous Thanksgiving Feast Extravaganza.  Before you know it you will find yourself cleaning up your Turkey spread, with a football game blasting in the background...It is at this moment that you'll realize that you've been so caught up in Pumpkin Pie that you've yet to find the perfect Holiday Greeting Card, which now needs to be mailed ASAP to make it on time with the ever chaotic Holiday mailing schedule.  Here are a few tips on Greeting Card Etiquette to help keep you ahead of schedule this Holiday Season:

  1. Special Touches: Choose a Custom Card that lets your family's personality shine through.  Photo Greeting Cards are extremely popular and a fantastic way to share your favorite family photo with long distance friends and family.  Most Custom Greeting Cards also allow you to incorporate your own personal message...family and friends will appreciate the sentiment.  (*I, personally, save every Photo Greeting Card we receive and have scrapbooked them so every Holiday Season we can look through and reminisce on the photos of our nearest and dearest!)

  2. Envelopes:  The Holidays are one of the occasions where you should take the extra time to handwrite your Recipients address on the Greeting Card envelopes.  Personally, I feel there is nothing wrong with saving some time in this ever hectic world, and would usually suggest printing address labels or ordering Custom Address Labels, but I do admit that there is something personal and sweet when I open my mailbox and see handwritten envelopes.

  3. Return Addresses:  Although handwriting Recipients addresses is suggested, there really is nothing wrong with using your Personal Address labels for the Return Address.  According to Etiquette, the proper location to place your Return Address label is on the back flap of the envelope.

  4. Greeting Card Arrival:  A perfectly planned Greeting Card arrival would be within the first two weeks of December.  This insures there is still room on the fireplace or fridge for your Greeting to be displayed for at least another 2 weeks.  Our fireplace is the designated Greeting Card display area and I love what it looks like in Mid-December, family and friends' photos and custom sentiments adding to my holiday decor!!!  Keep in mind when ordering your Greeting Cards that Custom Greeting Cards normally take about 7 days to process and print and mailing services may be delayed slightly during the Holiday season. My suggestion is to order your Custom Holiday Greeting Cards before Thanksgiving to give you plenty of time to address the envelopes and whisk them on their way!

  5. Happy Holidays, Season's Greetings or Merry Christmas???:  The age old question, which greeting to use?! Depending on the size of your Greeting Card Mail List, you may be wondering how to word your Greeting.  If you have a small, intimate list then you would probably have a better idea of which greeting is more appropriate. However, some of us, including myself, have a mailing list of over 50 recipients.  In this case, it is important to note that not all Americans celebrate the birth of ChristIn this case, using Season's Greetings or Happy Holidays as your greeting makes perfect sense.  When ordering most Custom Greeting Cards, you should be able to completely personalize the card, even changing the Merry Christmas Greeting you see to Happy Holidays if that is what you see fit.  If you are unsure whether or not you have this option, contact customer service and I guarantee most companies would be willing to change the greeting to whatever you desire.

Dear Planner of a Fabulous Party (aka YOU),

I am not just some paper obsessed, trend seeking lady who runs Treasured Moments, I am also a Future Bride and Mother of Two <3 I've been fortunate enough to find myself in a field that not only allows me to help others make a special day even more special but also allows me the knowledge to help make my family's special days absolutely fabulous.  The past two years have been exhilarating for my family.  We've moved into a new home, started a new business, had a new baby boy, welcomed twin niece & nephew and are planning a much anticipated wedding.

I don't just sell the products on my site to my customers...I find myself incorporating these awesome products into my special occasions.  An extreme amount of research goes into us finding the highest quality, unique and trend setting favors, gifts and stationery designs to add to our site.  We scour the web...reading blogs, articles and even interacting on message boards with other fabulous party planners...all in the name of throwing a fabulous party that includes unique stationery and awesome favors that reflect our style and taste.  I've decided not to keep my findings to myself but to share them with my customers...that's why I'm here...to make sure your Treasured Moments are as special as possible.

So today, I'm sharing with you some of my personal top picks!!! I hope you are as satisfied with these favors, decorations, party invitations and birth announcements as I have been...Also, check back frequently as I will be adding to this blog all of my awesome findings.
